Your footage is not our data.
VideoHighlighter runs analysis on the computer you installed it on. We do not operate an upload API, a cloud workspace, or an account system for the app.
What we never see
Video files, frames, transcripts, detections, reports, and exports stay on your disk. They are not sent to us, not stored by us, and not used to train anything we ship.
What happens when you buy Pro
Payment, VAT, receipts, and license-key delivery are handled by Lemon Squeezy (merchant of record). Their privacy policy is at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. We receive order details needed to support the purchase (typically name, email, and that a license was issued).
What the Pro app sends on the network
- License activation, once. A Lemon Squeezy license key is validated against their API the first time you paste it. After that the app checks a local cache and does not need the internet to run.
- Update check, optional. About once a day the app may fetch a public JSON file from this site to see if a newer build exists. That request has no query string, no license key, and no machine identifier. Failure is silent.
The free build does not activate a license. It may still do the same anonymous update check.
This website
This site is static files on GitHub Pages. We do not run our own analytics, ads, or accounts on it. GitHub’s hosting may log standard web-server data (IP, user agent) as any host does. Checkout happens on Lemon Squeezy’s domain, not ours.
Discord
If you join the community Discord, that is Discord’s service and Discord’s privacy policy. We do not require it to use the app.
